Gosh, the last time I drew one of this species was probably about 2 years ago. I kinda miss 'em...

What is that thing omg?!
A Vampire Wraith, as the drawing states. And that is an original race of mine originally inspired by the Legacy of Kain series. My concept has strongly evolved since and the game series has been left behind a long long time ago. As far as I remember it exists since 2004, maybe a bit earlier.

How does that work?
When a Hume dies, the dead human can be infused with dark energy to be reborn undead as a vampire and rise from his tomb and walk among the living. If a vampire dies, teh body falls apart to ashes and the spiritual energy is cast into the underrealm of shadows and ghosts where it eventually dissipates or is absorbedby...something else. If it manages to subsist though, and gathers strength, it could recreate a living body and come out of the realm of dead. now that would be a vimpire wraith.

What does it look like?
Skin. Generally the skin color is of various shades of blue, uniform, though often bearing various markings. Could be baby-blye, naivy-blue, or steel grey-blue, sometimes even white, if you happen to run into an albino individual.

Hair. Hair/fur/feathers are generally of the same color. The most widely found would be shades of green and blue, but it could be any bright and rather saturated hue. Albinos would have white hair of course, but regular Vampire Wraiths could too.

Limbs. The limbs are usually uncovered with skin and turn partly infused with spectral energy so that the muscles become glowing with it. So taht VW often cover their limbs with stripes of leather (or forreign.. skin. ahem.) or fabric.

Claws. All limbs have 4 long claws (including thumb), they aren't bone, but skin and muscle turnes very rough, but still flexible.

Wings. Wings could have looked like the bird ones having been torn apart of their meat, having bones and skin with the furry/feathery coverage left on them.

Tail. Medium_length tail covered with fur on it's ending half.

Orbs. VW have two orbs on teh sides of their head and one on the front. The orbs are of color of the VW's current enery in use. If it's dark, they would be dark, if it's elemental air, they would glow blue, ect. Each orb can transform into a horn or a token, depending on what kind of maginc is in use.

Eyes. Most usually are of the same colro as hair, in a brighter and glowing version of it.

Clothes. The picture shows a sort of a minimalistic clothing style, more underwear-like - parts covered with leather belts clipped together.

Just in case I haven't mentioned: VW eat souls. Of the living and dead creatures, in both realms.

I probably should do a correct ref sheet for those little ones, but I don't think I'd have any time. I'd definetly draw a male to complete this picure...later on.
