First of all, thank you for your bday wishies everyone!

Now, talking about something less pleasant...
My desktop has finally ended up in a pretty much dead state.
It sometimes works but after putting 45min of work into a pictuer and loosing it all because it froze - I have no choice but to stop my photoshop activities on it.
Hapilly I am having a holyday break soon and will be able to get my hand on an extra PC and get, let's say - 3 - pictures done (one personnal art and two commissions) but that is far less then enough if I don't have any chance to be working further on on my desktop at home

Am I supposed to be drawing on...paper now?

Like just when I got my beloved Intuos and am enjoying it? perrrrfect.
I still haven't come up with a CSS for that journal btw. Kick my lazy butt someone please?
That's all for now, some artwok coming somehow soon with a bit of luck.

45 minutes, ça fait effectivement un peu court pour se concentrer à un travail de longue haleine, j'espère que tu arrives à tout sauver...

I wish you luck, Moo. Hope you find a new computer soon.
A good suggestion, save often. xD

Also, a question, how does your computer act, does it overheat or just freeze..? Because mine used to overheat at PS activities, until I got it cleaned, so wondering if yous doesn't have a dust issue as well.
Other than that, just like petiteUlis said above, there's nothing wrong with paper...apart from the fact you still have to color the lines afterward xD; So you still get PS freeze...
Anyway, if you're still going to try drawing on this compy, make sure to save often AND save a backup copy of the file (save and re-save, switching every 30 kins-an hour between the file.psd and file_backup.psd)
...hope that helped, and sorry for you losing 45 mins of work+pretty file, sucks I know >.<; -pats you-
Edit: Oh, an additional solution would be...downgrade. I don't know what PS version you're using now, but maybe try downgrading. As low as PS7 it's fine (I have both CS2 and 7) and PS7 eats up way less compy resources.

As someone said: downgrade? I use Paint Shop Pro 7 (not any later versions!) for most my work, since it doesn't kill my computer.
